Penland

These pieces were made during a course with Devin Burgess called: „Rough Out & Refine” at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, USA. The shapes and the colors are inspired by the Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkalla and his design "BOLLE" made at the Venini factory in Murano, Italy. My goal in exploring these forms was to exercise several different glassblowing techniques Devin Burgess introduced me to.
